On behalf of the entire Lutheran Special Education Ministries family, I want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about our ministry to children who have special learning needs.

One child in five has a special learning need, and government statistics indicate this figure is on the rise. If you know more than five children, you probably know a child who has a special learning need.

Each of these children is — someone’s child; someone’s grandchild; someone’s classmate; someone’s friend. Each of the children we serve is a unique child of God, and as such, each has unique needs.

Special education services are mandated by law in public schools. What sets Lutheran Special Education Ministries apart is our desire to have Christian schools and congregations accomodate for the needs of all children, especially those with special learning needs.

The fact that we are a national resource for Christian special education also makes us unique.
